This 60,000 sf medical office building, located at UCSD’s Hillcrest Medical Center Campus embraces the adjacent canyon with its curved façade & soft color palette. The 4-story building includes an open breezeway, circular plaza, & outdoor corridors to offer doctors, staff, & patients a rich connection to nature in this urban setting.
Plant materials include native & indigenous species on the canyon side, with Palm trees along the street to support the health care campus theme. A single eucalyptus tree seems to grow through the building structure itself, integrating the building into the site.
